2009 is the 100th anniversary of the first National Women's Day in 1909 in USA.
This year it is celebrated with an exhibition of five female installation/performance artists from China, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia.
In the exhibition "Nu Yishu Series IV: Nu Red" the aritst respond to the colour red.

Imagine Gallery in Beijing is host to the exhibition curated by Laetitia gauden and Denise Keele-bedford.
The exhibition is supported by the Australian Embassy in Beijing and Ambassador Geoff Raby officially opens the exhibition on 8th March (International women's Day) between 3-6pm
Song Ruyi - Chinese Female Independant Landscape architect is guest speaker.
